Carl and Rushton Woods formed The Staging Company over 30 years ago when they provided staging for some of the largest corporate events in the country – major car launch tours, product launches and stage shows.

The experience gave them a lot of insight into what makes a great stage. Loading huge shows in and out of venues on a daily basis, The Staging Company team started sketching out ideas on how to make the whole process quicker, easier and safer.

Before long, joined by brother David and sister Uby Woods, The Staging Company team began designing and building their own stages, which have led the industry to this day. The Staging Company focuses its services on the behind-the-scenes show support structures – reveals, risers, draping and more. The Staging Company’s catch cry is “we specialise in things that don’t plug in”.

Today The Staging Company has over 15 staff and a large crew of casuals. Our mission is to continue to raise show safety levels for the crews, performers and clients that are supported by our equipment every day. Today that expertise sees The Staging Company support some of Australia’s biggest corporate events such as seating risers for the AFI Awards, Logies, Crown Millions, fashion festivals, school performances and graduations, annual fashion festival catwalks and other high profile events. Additionally The Staging Company provides staging for shopping centres, schools and private events.
